Newborn sessions have always held a special place in my heart and this session just solidified that! It is my greatest joy to capture the emotion of bringing a new babe home. The connection between this family was so genuine and authentic which made my job so easy!

I will always be impartial to in-home sessions because of the sentimental value of emotive images in your own home. Kiddos just feel so comfortable to play and interact as they normally do. Friendly reminder that you can have your own in-home session even if you don’t have a newborn or live in a million dollar home.
On a real and transparent note, this session pushed me pretty far out of my comfort zone. It was a very dreary, overcast morning when this session was shot, making it hard to get bright light to illuminate the family. However, I devoted much of my off-season to education where photographers talked about shooting in dark lite locations, especially in client’s homes. This session allowed me to became much more comfortable in the subpar lighting situation and I was able to produce soooo many incredible images for this family to cherish!

I love the ability to meet families where they are during the winter months and capture them in their true essence at home. This sweet family asked me to capture some baby announcement photos in their new home! I live for the most lovable connections, irresistible belly laughs, & the elegance of being in your own cozy home to celebrate unforgettable milestones.
Also, if you’re someone who says, “My house is too much of a mess” or “my house could never be pretty enough for pictures in it.” This family moved in 2 short weeks before our session and they turned out AMAZING! We moved a few bottles, Bluey trucks & poof – magical!

We took a fun approach to traditional headshots. Between the beautiful studio, amazing lighting, and vibrant colors, these girls true personalities were able to absolutely shine!

Read my first EVER blog post to learn more about yours truly! I hope to let you in on my life outside of photography and share about the importance of capturing the little moments in others’ lives.
